Counselor/ Supervisor

Polly is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Supervisor License # 14023 and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Supervisor License # 4007. She graduated Cum Laude from Lipscomb University with a BA in Sociology. Polly holds a Master’s of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington.  She has also earned certification as a Life Coach from CoachNet Global, Inc.

Polly has enjoyed a varied career in Social Work.  She served as a Social Worker at Terrell State Hospital Child/Adolescent Unit for 5 years.  She has worked as a Medicaid contractor to provide in-home mental health services for Kaufman County children and their families. Polly has also worked with Kaufman County Juvenile Probation Department for 3 years.  She served as Residential Director and Training Director at Boles Children’s Home for 12 years. Wherever she worked, she supervised interns to help them complete requirements for graduation and/or licensure.

Polly is currently mostly retired, working one day a week as a contract therapist at Arms of Hope, a program for single mothers.  She also occasionally provides pro bono counseling to women, children, families, and couples. She also enjoys working as a Life Coach and volunteering for the Purpose Project.
